Storage

In the storage section you can review the status of storage memories in adquio. In this section you can also prepare new external memories and check if any unit is failing.

The internal memory is listed, which is included with the adquio as the microSD cards and USB drives that connect to the corresponding ports.

In addition, if the unit has the scheme corresponding to the prepared storage of adquio, the space assigned to each storage section will be displayed.

The space used in each section is only shown in the units that are in use.

Storage types and states

Types of storage units in adquio are divided only into internal or outer.

• The internal unit is where system storage is located, the essential unit and in charge of starting all services. In the interface you can distinguish it by its label "internal storage" and by containing the system space. This unit also includes a system event log storage, but only an external unit is available.
• External storage units are those that the user has connected to expand the storage capacity of adquio. Only an external unit may be in use simultaneously. In it, historical data volumes are saved, certain temporary data of operation help and the system event log. You can differentiate them into the interface because they show the model of the storage unit and / or an identifying serial number.

The following storage sections are displayed in the interface:

• System: Includes the start and service data, all logic and operation of adquio depends on this section.
• System events: Historical events and debug messages of adquio. This includes the log of the scripts and the operation of the input / output modules that are displayed in their corresponding sections.
• Storage: Referred to the rest of the contents that are necessary Save: Historical data, Temporary Settings ...

In turn, a unit can be in different states. The internal unit will always be in use as it is necessary for the operation of adquio.

• Not ready: any new unit that inserts into the adquio. These units still do not have the appropriate format to work as storage of adquio. Instead of the sections that compose it, a text appears indicating its status. In the upper right part, the possible operations with this unit appear, where you can prepare it for use as an external memory; Keep in mind that this operation deletes the data that could have in the unit.
• Prepared: The unit has the appropriate format for use with adquio, but it is not yet being used. This is because the unit was not available at the boot of the system or has just been prepared. Use the operations menu to start using it, as long as there is no one already in use.
• In use: the unit is prepared and is being used as external storage. Avoid disconnecting the unit if it is in this state.

Notice: Try not to disconnect external storage once it arrives at the state in use with adquio on. Always turn off the unit before changing or extracting storage. The system is prepared to manage the errors or the end of the useful life of configured, even so, in those events it is possible to lose historical data or destabilize the system for a moment, while the new situation is handled.

Preparing an external storage

When you are configured adquio for the first time it is advisable to configure an external storage unit. In this way, the system may save temporary data that expand the possibilities of programming and integration, including historical variable data with greater temporary range, alerts and persistent notices, etc.

You can use for this a USB memory unit or a microSD card in the models with this capacity. As a general rule, it is preferable to use the external SD slot, to leave the USB connector available if the unit and its use requirements allow it.

Once the new unit is inserted in adquio, it will appear below the graphic representation of internal storage. If the data is not updated, use the refresh button from the upper right corner of the view.

Once detected you can select the option to prepare disk for adquio. When the operation has finished and the unit must consist of two storage spaces and be in use by adquio, if not, check the status of the storage unit: It may be failing or activated the Read only mode.
