Backups

In the backup backup you can download the configuration of your adquio and restore the saved setting by this same system.

This can be useful to have a backup in a safe place, in order to restore the settings in a simple and quick way in case of incidence or disaster. Configuration images have the extension .Adquio.

Sections

The adquio images, are composed of different optional sections, allowing to restore only parts of the configuration or behavior.

• Identification of Adquio and linking to Adquio Cloud: identification of the unit adquio that can change: Keys and integration data with the Adquio Cloud platform. This option does not restore or saves license data for the adquio unit.
• Screens and SCADAs: Screen server and scattered with the views that you have configured for it.
• Network configuration: network configuration of the WAN port and DNS servers.
• Configuring modules and devices: All configuration of modules, devices and variables.
• Configuration: schedules, scheduled and newspaper events.
• Scripts: All scripts and programming saved in adquio,Note that some integrations could restore some scripts that are self-downloading from your provider.

Process to create a configuration backup image

Press the button to create and download image, once the modal comes out, make sure that all sections you want to download are marked (You can see your explanation and what they contain here); Enter the password in the two required fields, in this way a typographical error is avoided when setting the password and press Save Once the steps are performed and when adquio you have finished the copy, the browser will notify you from downloading the file and can save it on your computer.

We recommend saving the file with a representative name of the moment of the copy or rename it once saved.

Process to restore a previous image

Press the button Restore copy, the browser opens a dialog to select the backup file. Once selected it will be sent to your adquio, where integrity is verified and that it is a compatible backup image. Once you have verified a dialog will appear asking what sections you want to restore and the encryption password.

The password is the same as the user has entered during the creation of the image. It is not possible to recover the data from an image without this password, nor the developer or your provider can help you retrieve the saved data if you lose or forget the password of an image.

The sections that have not been saved in creating the image are deactivated, so you can not mark them. If you uncheck sections that are in the image, the current data in this section will be maintained in your current version.

Notice: The restored sections lose the current data and are fully replaced by the data to be restored. For example, if there are less devices in the image, the system has been configured right now, the new devices will be lost.

Warning: If you restore network configuration you can take an IP address change. It could be that you have to reopen the web interface in the new address. Avoid restored network configuration from being incompatible with your network so as not to lose access to the interface of adquio. In the Pro versions you can change the network configuration from the physical interface on the screen if this happens.

Notice: There are no restrictions to restore the configuration of an adquio to another, make sure that the destination and origin of the copy is expected.
