Alerts

Alerts are administered by scripts or automatically by the core of adquio. Some alerts can be communication failures for a protocol, errors not handled in user scripts or system faults.

In the alert view, alerts are displayed in real time, first those that are active and then ordered by date of creation or update.

The alert icon shows the number of active alerts on a small balloon. If the balloon is red, it means that there is at least one alert with System tag, corresponding to alerts that generates adquio automatically when there are errors to which the user should pay attention as soon as possible.

When new alerts are created or when they expire, pop-up messages will appear in the lower right corner, the icon is also updated to represent the new number of active alerts.

The web interface does not allow to handle or alter the alerts.

To know how to handle alerts as a user, check the chapter Automation with scripts: Alerts.

Automatic alerts

Configurable automatic alerts from this tab allow the user to generate alerts before certain events.

For now, only alerts about out of service devices are allowed.

To configure a new automatic alert, select the type of event you want the generation and write the name of the object to monitor. For example, if you want to check that a device is working properly, you can choose the device estatus event and write the device code to be checked.

It is also allowed to delay the alert, so that it is only generated if the circumstance occurs during the specified time. For example, small domotic network cuts can be common in the installation for reasons outside the user and adquio; in that case you can decide that it only interests you to be notified if a device can not be accessed for one minute and thus discarding the noise that would generate repeated alerts in those cuts.

How to proceed when an unexpected alert appears

First, make sure that the alert has not been created by a script about the programmer.

For those sitacies in which the adquio system generates an alert that does not recognize, this manual includes a problem solving and alerts section:

If the alert you are viewing is not covered in this help, check the scripts in case it was generated voluntarily by user programming. If you do not recognize the authorship of this alert, consult your provider and check the existence of software updates from your product and this manual.
